Dr Justin Thomas is a senior research specialist at the King Abdulaziz Centre for World Culture (Ithra), where he leads large cross-national research projects within the Global Digital Wellbeing Program (Sync). He is also an honorary senior research fellow at the University of Liverpool's Institute of Population Health in the UK. Justin’s research interests lie at the intersections of psychology and technology, culture and public health. He is the author of Psychological Wellbeing in the Gulf States: The New Arabia Felix. Over the past decade, he has published extensively on the biopsychosocial impact of AI, social media, and gaming, exploring how these digital technologies shape and are shaped by culture. Justin currently resides in Saudi Arabia
